Inquiry and initial consultation
I ask about your current situation, goals, preferred language, target launch date, and budget. The initial consultation is free, online or in person.
Process
The scope and review points are made clear, so you know what is happening at every stage.

Building on the first conversation, I go deeper into your business, intended audience, the content to publish, and what your team wants to update after launch. We also identify how people first hear about you — through recommendations, social media, local coverage, or search — and what they need to confirm before taking action. In Japanese or English.
I define the page structure, content, editable areas, forms, and other requirements. On bilingual projects the translation scope is agreed here, and native-speaker review is quoted separately at this point if you want it.
You receive written details covering the fee, schedule, included work, and the conditions for any additional charges.
After the agreement, you provide the agreed content, images, logos, and other materials needed for production. The initial payment, generally 30–40% of the project fee, is invoiced as work begins.
The website is implemented through staged reviews of its structure and design. On bilingual projects, both language versions are checked for clarity and readability.
Wording, links, forms, responsive layouts, and the basic search settings are reviewed. On bilingual projects, the two language versions are checked against each other.
Once the final review is complete, the remaining 60–70% is invoiced. After payment is confirmed, the website is launched and the agreed handover materials are provided. If your team can update the site, you also receive clear instructions for the editing screen.
Optional maintenance plans are available for post-launch monitoring and minor updates. A plan is never a condition of the project, and the accounts and editing access you need are explained before handover either way.
