Project overview

SG Dad in Japan is a bilingual website for a Singaporean YouTuber who stepped away from a long corporate career and moved to Fukuoka with his family. His channel focuses on making clearer life decisions through three themes: financial independence, life transitions, and practical Japan-related insights.

The profile turns his decision to relocate and his long-standing connection with Japan into a visual story. The site also brings together YouTube videos, one-to-one sessions for people navigating life transitions, FI reports that help clients understand their financial trajectory and future options, and partnership opportunities for companies and brands. Instagram, a newsletter, and application forms are connected through clear paths from discovering his content to making an inquiry or proposing a collaboration.

Discovery and production meetings were conducted in English. The original copy was carefully interpreted and reorganized into a structure suited to the web while preserving the creator’s voice. The Japanese version was localized to read naturally rather than translated word for word. Language switching, faster image display on mobile, clear presentation in search results and on social media, and a secure editing area were also included to support both publishing and business activity.
